This Camino de Santiago Cross Necklace is an exclusive design created to honor the pilgrimage that many still follow its routes as a form of spiritual path or retreat for their spiritual growth in Northern Spain. Also known as The Saint James Way, this Cross has a dagger or sword detail with Fleur de lis handle and a shell design on the center of the cross. This design was created by special request of a customer who has made this pilgrimage and it left a beautiful footprint on her heart. in my searches for a similar design, I have come to realize that there was a need for a unique piece like this, and it is my hope that many will get to enjoy this special cross. bronze clay French replica was created in my studio from a stunningly large Victorian Miraculous Mary medal from 1896. It hangs from an Art Nouveau link bale attached with two etched jump rings. The chain has alternating links with texture and ridges. The chain is finished with a tarnish resistant coating and wears beautifully. It looks like a very expensive piece and has the same perceived value.

Each antique medal in my Crown of Grace collection was lovingly searched for according to it’s age, shape, subject matter, and rarity. Many of the medals used during my hand replicating process are over a century old. I reproduce each piece by making a mold, hand pressing small batch bronze clay into the mold, drying, and kiln firing at 1420 degrees in a double carbon process. Each medal is hand wire brushed to give them a matte gold base and polished on the high relief areas to give them a luxurious Baroque light gold finish.

The chains that I use in my designs are hand selected to compliment the medals. They have a double layer of non tarnish matte gold finish for durability and tarnish resistance. In addition, they are nickel, cadmium, & lead free.
