About the Medal:
Each antique-style medal is hand-reproduced from rare, often century-old originals. Using a meticulous process, I create a mold from the original piece, press bronze clay into it, dry it, and then fire it in a kiln at 1420°F in a double carbon firing. The result is a beautifully detailed pendant, hand-brushed to achieve a matte gold finish and lightly polished on raised areas for a soft Baroque glow.
Chain Details:
The chain is hand-selected to complement the pendant’s character, featuring:
*Double-layer, non-tarnish matte gold coating
*Nickel, cadmium, and lead-free materials
*Durable, tarnish-resistant design
Historical & Spiritual Significance:
Also known as Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, this icon dates back to the 13th century and is celebrated by the universal Church on June 27. Traditionally painted on wood with a golden background, the image carries deep symbolism: Mary cradles Jesus while the Archangels present the instruments of His Passion. Greek inscriptions identify the holy figures, enhancing its sacred meaning.
