This one-of-a-kind handmade compass pendant was lovingly crafted for The RescYOU Group from bronze clay and finished in a radiant matte gold tone that beautifully mimics real gold. At its heart lies a detailed compass, symbolizing direction, hope, and the strength to move forward through child loss.
✨ What makes this piece truly special is its inspiration:
It was designed in honor of The RescYou Group whose mission is “Handing families an emotional compass, so they can navigate life after child loss.” This pendant is a tribute to that mission, a symbol of healing, guidance, and remembrance.
My personal story: I have been honored over the past two years to donate handmade pieces from Crown of Grace Designs to this cause. I had no personal connection to their group, but a special friend had asked me to donate an item for their fundraising gala. The first year, it was a Crown of Grace Leather & Pearl Bracelet. Last year, it was a larger bronze statement necklace with handset stones featuring Our Lady of Perpetual Help. To my surprise, the necklace brought in over $1000 at auction! This really got me excited. Having attended their gala that year, I was able to hear their founder speak of her personal journey about the loss of her son. It was absolutely heartbreaking to comprehend. I was also able to hear other families speak on their navigation through child loss and how the organization was able to help them heal and deal with their emotions. I began to understand the depth and importance of their purpose and it tugged at my heart. I really wanted to do more even though I personally have not experienced this loss.
This year, YEAR 3 donation, I felt inspired to come up with something unique that could not only bring in a good auction price, but something that reflected The RescYOU Group's mission: “Handing families an emotional compass, so they can navigate life after child loss.” I decided to make a pendant of their logo, a compass, and add stones & a beautiful chain that could be worn dressed up in cocktail attire OR dressed down with jeans & a t-shirt. I began with the search for an antique compass pendant that reflected their logo. I then replicated the design in bronze clay with my studio mold process. In addition, I had a custom stamp made depicting The RescYOU Group font in order to stamp the back of each pendant while the clay was still wet before kiln firing. To glam it up, 5 hand set stones were added which look like sparkling diamonds. What has resulted is a luxurious custom piece to support their cause. The donated necklace brought in $3000 at live auction, and was then gifted to the founder, Reecie, by her brother.
WITH EACH PURCHASE OF THIS NECKLACE, $100 will be donated to The Rescu Group to assist in their mission on a continued basis to guide individuals experiencing the loss of a child, infant through 18 years old. Through their foundation, these families will receive all burial expenses for their LOVED child and ongoing counseling and support for siblings and their families. I am overwhelmed by their passion and energy to help the ones who are certainly hurting the most. Loving them and supporting them through the painful loss of a child with God at the center of their efforts. I am blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of this mission in any capacity.
The compass pendant features:
Five sparkling grade 5A sparkling stones – one at the center and four around the edges – symbolizing clarity, direction, and emotional light in times of darkness.
An ornate antique replica compass, evoking vintage elegance and timeless strength.
A hand-etched bail and a matching matte gold-tone etched rolo link chain, completing the piece with warmth and texture.
Materials: Bronze clay, gold finish, grade 5A cubic zirconia
Pendant Size: Approximately the size of a U.S. quarter

Whether you’re honoring your own journey or offering support to someone navigating theirs, this pendant serves as a powerful, wearable reminder of love, loss, and resilience.
Each antique medal in my Crown of Grace collection was lovingly searched for according to it’s age, shape, subject matter, and rarity. Many of the medals used during my hand replicating process are over a century old. I reproduce each piece by making a mold, hand pressing small batch bronze clay into the mold, drying, and kiln firing at 1420 degrees in a double carbon process. Each medal is hand wire brushed to give them a matte gold base and polished on the high relief areas to give them a luxurious Baroque light gold finish.
The chains that I use in my designs are hand selected to compliment the medals. They have a double layer of non tarnish matte gold finish for durability and tarnish resistance. In addition, they are nickel, cadmium, & lead free.
