NEW! French Eucharistic Chalice & Host Necklace Bronze Clay Antique Replica

Inspired by a beautiful antique French Eucharistic medal, this substantial statement necklace depicts the Chalice and Sacred Host, one of the most meaningful symbols of the Catholic faith and the mystery of the Holy Eucharist.

The original medal immediately became one of my favorite pieces in my antique devotional collection. Its beautiful symmetry, delicate French engraving, and deeply Eucharistic subject matter create a design that is both striking and reverent. I wanted to preserve those details while adding one small element of my own—a brilliant 3mm Grade 5A cubic zirconia, individually set by hand into the bronze clay precisely where the Sacred Host appears above the Chalice. The stone catches the light beautifully and draws the eye to the very heart of the medal.

Using a handcrafted silicone mold taken from the antique French original, I individually press each reproduction in solid bronze clay before kiln firing it at 1,420°F using a double-carbon firing process in my studio in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.

The medal is suspended from an ornate Art Nouveau-inspired bail and a substantial 5mm etched rolo chain selected to complement the beautiful engraving of the antique design. Even the smallest components have been considered—etched jump rings and upgraded decorative closures continue the antique detailing throughout the necklace rather than distracting from it. The chain is finished with a tarnish-resistant coating for durability and comfortable wear.

Each medal is individually hand finished using my signature technique. The bronze is wire brushed to create a soft matte-gold base, while the raised details are selectively polished to bring out the intricate relief and give the piece its luminous, timeworn character. Because every medal is pressed, fired, set and finished individually by hand, subtle variations are part of its beauty and make each necklace truly one of a kind.

This is a substantial piece that wears beautifully and has the presence of an old-world heirloom—something that feels as though it could have been discovered in a French antique market and passed down through generations.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR JEWELRY

Gently wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth after wearing and keep it away from water. Remove before bathing, showering or swimming.
